In this fourth Newsletter<\/strong> you can find the latest updates on the project “Dialogue, training, bargaining: work as an instrument of peace – AID 11604\u201d<\/strong> in Eritrea<\/strong>, financed by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS) – Regional Office in Khartoum<\/strong>, led by Nexus International Solidarity Emilia Romagna (Nexus ER)<\/strong>, in collaboration with Progetto Sud (ProSud)<\/strong>, Trade Union Institute for Development Cooperation (ISCOS)<\/strong>, International Volunteering for Development (VIS)<\/strong> and, at local level, National Confederation of Eritrean Workers (NCEW)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The Covid-19 pandemic<\/strong> has inevitably caused problems and delays in the implementation of the project activities initially planned. However, thanks to the extension<\/strong> granted by AICS<\/strong> that postponed the end of the first year of activity to 30 May 2021<\/strong>, it was completed the shipment of part of the materials<\/strong> which will be used for the setting up of some labs<\/strong> of the Training Centre<\/strong> in Massawa<\/strong> and the Social Media Centre<\/strong> in Asmara<\/strong>.<\/p>\n In the coming months it is expected the purchase of electronic equipment<\/strong> for the labs<\/strong> which will be necessary to proceed with the professional training of the project\u2019s beneficiaries.<\/strong><\/p>\n As for the training courses<\/strong>, the ongoing health emergency has implied to carry them out remotely<\/strong>. However, thanks to the commitment and collaboration of the Italian and Eritrean partners<\/strong>, the organization of training plans for the “Train the Trainers”<\/strong> is in progress. The \u201cToT\u201d<\/strong> will be aimed at trainers<\/strong>, career counsellors<\/strong> and company tutors<\/strong>, which will be in charge of carrying out professional training and upgrading activities for Eritrean youth<\/strong>, women<\/strong> and people with disabilities<\/strong>, supporting their employment<\/strong> and\/or re-employment<\/strong> and fostering decent work opportunities<\/strong>.<\/p>\n We invite you to download the Newsletter at the link below.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
